The Communications team exists to promote the mission of the church. We do this by communicating the right message, to the right audience, at the right time, in the right way.

The communications team carries this out through:

The Connections team exists to help people find a place to belong. We do this by helping our first-time guests move toward becoming members.

The Connections Team is comprised of four sub-teams:

• Newcomers Lunch
• Service Team
• Community Group
• Membership

The Decor Team cares deeply about how Grace Point’s facility looks, feels, and appears. The decor team is responsible for thoughtfully decorating the building so it feels inviting and welcoming at all times. We also plan and decorate for seasonal events such as Christmas, Easter, Fall, etc.

The Events Team exists to plan and execute fun and inviting events for the members, the Sunday attendees of Grace Point Church, and the community.

If you’d like to join the events team, here are the ways you can serve:

• Newcomers Lunch
• Community Events
• Celebrating Special Moments (baptisms, mother’s day, father’s day, etc.)

Facilities is responsible for keeping the building clean, set up and take down for all events, getting all signs out in the neighborhoods, and taking care of any maintenance that may present itself in and outside the building.

Membership is required to be on the finance team.

• Finance Council
• Counting

The Hospitality Team exists to create a warm environment for all guests. We use the gift of hospitality to bless and serve others as we have been served. We aim to make people feel comfortable and cared for as if they are at home.

The hospitality team is responsible for:

• Providing Beverages For Guests
• Baking Communion Bread
• Setting Out Communion Bread & Juice
• Serving Food and Beverages for Special Events

Grace Point Kids Ministry partners with parents to raise kids who love Jesus. We provide a safe environment for the kids to learn and hear about Jesus. Our Kids Ministry Curriculum is written in a fun and engaging way and uses the same text as the sermon series to help facilitate conversations in the home.

Likewise, we create a space where parents can go into the Big Room to hear the gospel. We create an environment where the teachers and parents can openly and safely talk about their child’s growth, behavior, development, and discipline.

The Security Team allows our Grace Point Church family the freedom, without distraction, to celebrate the work that God is doing in our community, and worship together to give God the glory that he deserves.

It is the mission of the Safety and Security Team to:

• Provide a safe and secure environment for the staff, members, and guests
• Respond to security and medical incidents and achieve positive results
• Respond and provide leadership in emergencies

The Welcome Team exists to ensure people feel welcome. The Welcome Team is a group of volunteers who help create a welcoming environment during our services so that our guests will be more comfortable and open to hearing God’s word. We do this by intentionally remembering guests’ names and personally welcoming them back each week.

We want to serve our guests by being available for our first-time and returning guests. We serve our guests by always opening the doors for them, we do not want any guest to touch a door handle in our church.

The worship team is responsible for the Sunday morning experience and works to foster a thriving worship culture in the church. The worship leader works with the pastor to make sure the songs are echoes of the sermon, as well as the tech team to ensure they have the tools to support the scripture and message.
